Definition:

(45) Pseudonym of Son Byong Hi (1861-1922), the most prominent leader of the Korean independence movement on March 1, 1919 (Samil). The 45 movements refer to his age when he changed the name of Dong Hak (Oriental culture) to Chondo Kyo (Heavenly way) in 1905. The diagram represents his Indomitable Spirit, displayed while dedicating himself to the prosperity of his nation.

4, 17:

Low twisting kick.

 

5-6 & 18-19:

Execute a downward block with an x-fist and a rising block with the knife-hand in a continuous motion.

 

9, 22:

Middle reverse turning kick.

 

10, 23:

Lower the foot in a stamping motion to form a sitting stance while executing a middle side strike with the right knife-hand.

 

11, 24:

Middle side piercing kick while pulling both hands in the opposite direction.

 

13, 26:

Middle turning punch performed in slow motion.

 

27, 32:

Middle wedging block with a knife-hand.

 

31, 36:

Low inward block with the right reverse knife-hand while shifting.

 

37, 39:

High reverse turning kick.

 

45:

High punch.

 

Définition:

(45) Pseudonyme de Son Byong Hi (1861-1922), chef le plus proéminent du mouvement d'indépendance de Corée du 1er mars 1919 (Samil).  Les 45 mouvements donnent son âge quand il substitua au terme Dong Hak (culture orientale) celui de Chondo Kyo (voie céleste) en1905.  Le tracé dénote l'esprit indomptable démontré dans son engagement personnel pour la prospérité de son pays.
