Yong-Gae Tul

 

Definition:

(49) Named after a famous general Yon Gae Somoon (603–666) during the Koguryo Dynasty. The 49 movements refer to the last two figures of 649 CE, the year he forced the Tang Dynasty to quit Korea after destroying nearly 300 000 of their troops at Ansi Sung.

 

Details:

1, 12:

Slide to form a L-stance while executing a low guarding block with a reverse knife-hand in a circular motion.

 

2, 13:

High punch performed in slow motion.

 

3, 14:

Slide forming a L-stance while executing a middle guarding block with the forearm.

 

5, 16:

Shift while maintaining a L-stance and execute a checking block with an X-fist.

 

27, 34:

High reverse hooking kick.

 

28, 35:

High side piercing kick pulling both hands in front of the chest

 

39, 42:

Execute a high outward strike with a knife-hand with an L-stance in a stamping motion.

 

40:

Shift maintaining a L-stance while executing a middle guarding block with the forearm.

 

47, 49:

Slide to form a left L-stance while thrusting with the side elbow.

 

Définition:

(49) Nom du fameux Yon Gae Somoon (603–666) de la dynastie Koguryo qui provoqua la fuite de la dynastie Tang hors du pays par l'extermination de près de 300 000 des troupes chinoises à Ansi Sung.  Le nombre de mouvements donne les 2 chiffres terminaux de l'année 649 où eut lieu cette victoire.
