Definition: (39) Named after Kwang-Gae-Toh-Wang (374–413), 19th King of the Koguryo Dynasty, who regained all the lost territories including the greater part of Manchuria.
The 39 movements refer to the first two figures of 391 which represent the the year he came to the throne.
The diagram represents the expansion and recovery of lost territory.
Details: 2, 3: Upset punch performed in slow motion.
4, 6: High hooking block with the palm.
5, 7: Execute a low guarding block with a knife-hand in a sliding motion.
8, 9: High guarding block with a knife-hand.
10, 11: Upward block with palm performed in a slow motion.
13-14 & 17-18: Execute a pressing kick followed by a middle side piercing kick in a consecutive kick (keep the position of the hands).
21, 22: Low stance pressing block with the palm performed in slow motion.
25, 29: Execute a low block with the forearm while shifting backwards.
26, 30: Low stance high thrust with the flat fingertip performed in slow motion.
31: Walking stance high vertical punch with a twin fist in a stamping motion.
32, 36: Walking stance upset punch with a twin fist in a stamping motion.
33, 37: Middle front snap kick (keep the position of the hands).
39: High punch.
Définition:(39) En l'honneur de Kwang-Gae-Toh-Wang (374–413), 19e roi de Koguryo, qui reconquérit tout le territoire et une grande partie de la Mandchourie.
Le nombre de mouvements réfère aux deux premiers chiffre de l'an qu'il est devenu roi en 391.
Le tracé exprime la reconquête et l'expansion du territoire.
